I've written so many letters that corresponding with officialdom is becoming rather tedious.

Is it any wonder that individuals become radicalised due to their mistreatment and marginalisation in an apparently hostile culture?

It won't be long before the authorities label those that protest the EU anti-gun agenda as extremists.

I know we are talking about our guns here but I wonder if the Manufacturer`s and stockist/retailers of hunting/shooting clothes and all the other sundries that goes with our sport has realised that it also affects them and they should get involved with petitions/letters etc.

We are talking about a MASSIVE amount of people being affected here, and the revenue the countries loose will be also MASSIVE. Bet all the Governments haven`t thought about this with their knee jerk reaction.

Not to mention voting them ALL out of office !

They do not care and as for voting them out - fat chance. That opportunity was LOST at the last election because the Tories were more "gun friendly" lol lol

your vote means little or nothing to them because you (we) are one of the few minoririties they are not scared of! When they want your opinion they'll give it to you!

well as a step on from that bofor, when all the gun companies have folded, they will only be able to arm their own countries with Ak's and whatever is left in the US, as they seem equally willing to go down this road.

That's not a bad idea, has anyone heard if there has there been any sort of rumblings from European manufacturers regarding these proposals?

I'm sure the likes of Beratta, walther, CZ, SIG etc have lobbyed their respective governments. Can't see those counties saying yes to this stupid EU directive !

Just got this from my MP as a result of letter (one of many) sent

.......

Dear John,

Thank you for your email about gun control. I agree with your that we should set our own gun laws and not the EU and I will be keeping an eye out for this. If we leave the EU we won't have to worry about the EU taking control of our gun and other laws.

Kind regards,

Steve

If they DO steal all the guns then by their insane definition "problem solved" so why would the police need guns! If this goes through then the police and all diplomatic / political guards should be disarmed too...after all, why would they need guns when all the guns are gone?!

Of course crime in the EU will rocket as armed security companies (like bullion delivery) will no longer be armed, just like a section of the public with home defense weapons will be disarmed....opportunities for the criminal element there....

There will be a knock on in sporting production: jobs will be lost, people WILL lose their businesses and some suicides will maybe follow. Maybe same in sporting ammo - they don't all make for the military do they?

Austrians will not be too chuffed as their gun sales have soared recently.

Have we still not thought of saying "NO" yet?
