Bugger, what have you ordered? This is the one you and I vaguely discussed many months ago. I have so many ideas to turn into reality, the press came about because I was getting hassle from a few people who kept asking if I would ever build a 'proper' UK designed and built press.

God, you expect me to remember a product design discussed months ago? I literally have a desk full of designs to contend with at the moment. All representing student's individual projects and all requiring further work. They range from a lifting mechanism for track rails and a joker's mobile phone stand!

I'm surprised you opted for an arbor press when designing a 'dogs bollox' press though.

I haven't seen the press ordered yet but would have rather spent my daughter's hard earned inheritance with you than a large supplier. Mind you, those F types shell out stupid amounts for even basic kit

All very interesting but I will just stick with my Lyman orange crusher I have had it at least twenty years and my simple home made rounds still all go in the middle as long as the nut on the butt does his job.

Had a great day to day knocking them down at 300 and 400 yards at Sturdy House Defence with my Steyr SSG P1.

.308=155 grain Hornady Amax 42.3 grains of N140 COL well they fitted in the magazine so job done.

Its about having fun. You can spend loads of money and these guys will let you do it but as a beginner well I would advise you to buddy up learn from some one and dont spend ONE PENNY on reloading gear for at least six months until you know what you are doing and what you expect to get out of your shooting disiplinces etc.

But what do I know I have only being at for about 40 year.

Will have a Sinclair Arbor Press for sale S/H in New Year when I return home from afar, have upgraded to a K&M with Force Measurement Fixture; yet to be convinced it will add benefit but intrigued and cheap(ish) over here so what the heck. What I do like about the K&M is the press height locking method is far more positive than the Sinclair, however, that is not to say the Sinclair is not good enough.

Spud may have a few USA gadgets to video review, as only he know how, in the New Year as I might just loan him some toys to play with.

I have to agree with Alpha1 there, I don't worry either about a lot of the stuff you guys go on about and my rounds still go where I want them to go. I've been using the same old RCBS rock chucker for the best part of twenty years and it's still doing it's job. It sounds like you fella's spend more time faffing around than you do actually shooting the stuff you make.
