Chronographed the 5.3gn loads today and they averaged 1205fps with an extreme spread of 19fps over 10 shots.

The Nobel data book stated 1230fps for 5.5 gns so pretty sound data by the looks of it.

Been shooting 310s ever since the pistol hand-in. The BSA barrels are very good, but the chambers are all over the place. We have about 10 of them in our club and most of these can use cases made from 32-20 without thinning the rims. It is a good idea to take a chamber cast and cut the brass down to an appropriate dimension---mine are about 0.2" longer than nominal. Best accuracy seems to be with a velocity of around 1150'/sec using the correct heeled bullet ----the moulds for these are availanle from RCBS or NEL.

Heeled 310 boolits are available from Accurate Moulds as the OP, it is now a stock item. CBE in Oz also make a good selection of heeled cadet moulds.

What about the one that came out at 6000fps?

I know we had an old cut down rifle in that calibre at kennels, as well as a single shot pistol which I think was a Webley?
A very safe round to use, far better than the 7.65/.32 which I had afterwards.

I came across some of these rounds recently at my local dealer and he let me photograph them. They are a smidgen smaller than a standard round.
