Dave all things are relative mate and in comparison to some the stuff on here that are called firearms the MAS36 is a thing of beauty, It always was a fine shooting rifle with a fine round.

The 7.62 x 39 was designed as a 300 yrd cartridge but will make a good 600yrd cast boolit cartridge, OK not in an AIA but I've seen it done well in a Baikal single shot break barrel.
