For some reason known only to Pete, he can't understand why anyone would want to have a pump action shotgun in their home. For some reason Pete doesn't see the need for anyone to own anything other than the sort of guns that he owns..................and there is another reason why gun ownership in this country is doomed; because some gun owners feel that their guns are acceptable and other people's guns aren't.
Welcome to the world of elitism, where only my guns are to be allowed and anything else can be banned.

"Because I can", is the only reason I need for any firearm or shotgun I choose to own.

Dosnt surprise me at all we are our own worst enemy people like Pete will get the whole thing done away with.
I have a question Pete why does any one need a rifle capable of shooting over a 1000 yards when the majority of shooters in the UK dont have acces to full bore rangers that are at the most 300 yards.

Yep.
I remember this attitude rearing its head after Hungerford.......and its never really gone away.

Its why there can never be a one voice for all to fight the anti's, as the shooting community in the UK is anything but a community, its a fractured disassociation of willy waving groups.

Just for the record, if we were considered suitable to own for example, an SVD that hadn't had it's balls cut off, I'd be first in the queue.........

Have we? You've still not explained what you can't understand. Is it that you can't understand why the politician has jumped straight to trying to ban pump action shotguns, or you don't understand why people should have them?

Or the Tories. Not much of a choice, is it?
The UK deserves better.
This is why I get frustrated with the people who say "if you don't vote you have no right to moan". Utter b***ocks! I refuse to be forced to vote for someone I don't want just because I don't want someone else more... And I will very happily moan about what any of them are doing because they are all as bad as each other! I can't remember who said it but there is a quote somewhere, "Wanting to pursue a career in politics automatically makes them the least suited to the job." Truer words have never been spoken.
