A good friend had his a few weeks ago - whilst waiting the 15 mins after the jab, he started to feel sick in the stomach after 6 min, hands swelled and went purple two minutes later and then he lost vision. He recalls people shouting at him to stand up and then came round in the back of an ambulance. He was okay after a few minutes thankfully.

Also heard of a few people who have felt there were so cold they could not stop shaking but they were lathered in sweat as they were burning up. This lasted for a few days.

I cant see why if they have people not turning up, they don't just go and get people in off the street - surely that's better than wasting vaccine.
My feet were ice the first night - of course I have cold feet from time to time, just not like that.

In principle I agree with you re the vaccine and people off the street...just that there are nutters around and what if someone gets injected several times over a few days and dies...hell would break loose.

Oh I don't know, maybe if you wanted to go on holiday abroad, or get a job in the future etc...

Not very likely in my case why would I want to go abroad for Holiday when there are so many places in the UK I want to visit and at 69 years old it is unlikely I will be looking for a new job any time soon. By the end of the year every one and his dog will have been jabbed so who will care.

Three hospitalisations in 13 months is the criteria for asthmatics!

They don’t really get more Poorly according to data. (I’m asthmatic, this info is direct from a Derbyshire surgery)

Had the AstraZeneca jab at 3:20pm today then went back to work, no ill effects as of now and arm aches no more than normal after doing a shift so fingers crossed I’ll be ok

I really despair when I see/hear that sort of thing - it shows a lack of understanding of what the vaccines can and can't do and I lay a lot of the blame and the door of the Govt, the media and the NHS. I seem to be constantly reminding staff that if you've been vaccinated that
1) You can still catch Covid 19,
2) You can still spread Covid 19
3) It only reduces the risk of a severe case of Covid 19 and the chances of hospitalisation and
4) We don't know long the protection lasts for, so precautions are still required.

This sort of thing is probably a contributing factor to a current outbreak of Covid in a non Covid ward in a nearby Hospital.

BTW I had my first AZ jab 10 days ago...
