Whoever thought putting sights either side of a wobbly hinge was a good idea???? kukkuk
I agree but they were never a target rifle as long as the bullet hit somewhere near the middle then thats all that was needed. lol

Shot a buckland one a while back whaich totally trashed what was left of my rosy tinted memories. The only thing left was the SLR "Ting" as the rats tail rung next to your earhole.

Basically, straight pull, you get the worst of both worlds, particularly when you put millsurp through it!!

You can do a lot better for less money with a decent Enfield to be honest.

Yes, I owned a Buckland SLR for a while... maybe 6 months...which dispelled my fond memories, and when he went down I got rid of it, didn't want any links to him...

Ah Maggot you shot a Buckland one the others are alot better to use and in how they were built.

Was that my old one Daryll which went back to him after only 2 months, cos it shot well right of POA.

Yes, thats the one... I did get it shooting pretty much POA by moving the foresight, but it was still a POS...

I sold it back to JF in part exchange for my Mossberg MV LC.

Having spent the years lugging the thing about and the years since shooting other things and lugging other things about, straight pull or not, you can shove it. ;)

Aw guys, you've shattered my delusions :-)

Actually I'm an L85A2 man although I did all my drills with the SLR but never actually got to fire it.

A gentleman at my club has an Imbel and I have to say it is quite nice and very well put togehter with easy extraction and it is certainly accurate enough.....though a bit Capitalist for me ;)
