At the back of the receiver is steel plate-it can be removed and replaced with some one off special adaptor for triangular stock.And two big holes left after removing under folder shaft can be blanked off,where is a will there is a way....All changes on my Arsenal I am performing myself,it is scoped now in very special way-Oleg called it "very interesting".... But most important-it works,so idea was good... :)

But that would completely ruin an underfolder and would look awful!.....the rear trunnion is completely different on an underfolder and to try to change it to a different configuration would in my humble opinion ruin a perfectly good rifle.Yes the holes from the stock mechanism could be blanked but it would look terrible."Where there is a will there is a way" can be good but not when it is done to bodge something for the sake of being able to do it.....especially when there are other options available.

Could i cut the roof off my Shogun with a Stihl saw and make a 4x4 convertible?.....sure, as where theres a will theres a way!.....is it a good idea?.....No!!!

If my Romanian underfolder is anything to go by the plate at the rear of the receiver cannot be removed without cutting it out.....as soon as that's done bang goes any resale value!.

Lapua......to get a rifle like the Arsenal SLR-107 you pictured find an AK-104 spec Saiga as the Saiga is essentially the same as both have stamped receivers......the whole stamped vs milled receiver thing has been debated for years and in real world terms there is no real difference in accuracy.

Hm,Mr.Snayperskaya-If something works for me I do not care about resell value-usualy I am bumping it up,I am old school fella with some out of the box ideas-do not forget this is UK gun law regulated market and you can not get everything what you want....well,most of us don't...so you start improvising and looking for solutions,or just follow the flock- whatever suits you

I'm old school myself....hence why I wouldn't take a perfectly functional rifle and butcher it.

Thanks for the input snayperskaya, however, the AK-104's barrel is too long, particularly when the intention was to have a short-barreled carbine rather than a rifle.

The AK-104 is a carbine!, the barrel is only 315mm long so you won't get much shorter and legal!!!

Lapua338-ever considered bullpup action?like Chinese AK versions?-or even better,one based on VZ58MARS...I got bitten by this "long barrel-short rifle" virus and after finishing current project,maybe will start one...
