Aye, 5.56mm might have more performance, but I already have a .308. I have a specific reason for wanting a 9mmjoe wrote:Looked at one these however for the same price you can get a 5.56mm (straight pull ) which does a lot more then 9mm bit with a slightly slower rate of fire

Well it was literally freezing at the MOD range this morning but I had an awesome time! I would like to say a very big thanks to NoEntry who let me try out his SGC 9mm on the range. After a exchange of PM's it turns out that we are both members of the same club and knew each other by sight. NoEntry spent quite a bit of time explaining the various design features of his rifle and answering my questions. I really enjoyed shooting the 9mm and it was grouping fine at 100 yards.
Having the opportunity to handle and shoot the rifle was very helpful. I will be putting in a variation for one next week.

you wont regret it.
the main problem I have with mine is dirty ammo gumming up the action when it has a suppressor on. I may look at a glock mag'd 45 at some point in the future, i can have a mk1 uzi and mk2 glock then....
i'd like one in something like 357sig, because, you know, why not
It's a shame something like TNW's aero survival rifle couldn't be used as a platform for interrupted semi. as that is a blowback gun, which looks rather awesome.

I read one in tescos yday, theres a pic of the rifle on the front cover, at the top. TBH, if you have ever read a review of a 9mmLR you probably won't learn much, apart from they have a 'wave' release lever availiable.

Just to clarify for anyone else who wants to read the article, it is in the February 2016 issue of GUN MART page 208.bradaz11 wrote:I read one in tescos yday, theres a pic of the rifle on the front cover, at the top. It was well worth a read for me and helped with the available options choice.
Cheers

Review?
If it was in that rag Gun Mart then it is advertising.
There are almost no good independent gun reviews in the shooting rags nowadays and to rely on them for honest information is folly. The reviews are linked to the advertising that is taken out by companies.
Most gun journalist are no better than any other journalist they will write anything for the money.
When was the last time you read a negative review about a gun or product?

True true. Plus Pete Moore rarely provides any of the actual information on a firearm that I want.
It's good for a product showcase, see what's new, that's about it.
I still enjoy a Sunday morning lie in with a cup of tea, Two marmite crumpets and an iPad with gun mart on it every month though.

I have however read plenty of (negative) posts on here, watched whatever u-tube videos I could find.... and more importantly spent time talking to an owner and had a good go of shooting one of these rifles.
My Variation has been sent off this morning.....

He does seem rather keen on regularly recommending shotguns for PSG which range from completely unsuitable to very dissadvantageous (in competition terms). But then he did invent practical shooting in the 80's (according to Gun Mart), so maybe i should just keep my trap shut.safetyfirst wrote:True true.
