I recently bought a new Marlin, the quality is back to what it used to be. Buy with confidence.

Ooh, I know someone who lives in Saskatchewan, in North Battleford :)

The Marlin looks nice but for me the damage by Remlin has been done, I'm sticking to Henry's or I could be tempted by a JM Marlin at a push :)

Henrys gained a foothold when Remington screwed up the Marlins. They are ok I suppose, but the tube is a turn off for me.

North Battleford is a long way from me. Saskatchewan is about one and a half times the size of Britain. :)

You leave the micro groove .44's alone. I can't believe how good mine is.

Can be outstanding variants. But the rule of thumb is that they need specifically tailored ammo in cast to give a decent performance. Some will just have a sweet spot with what's available on the shelf....

But they are far and few between! lol

Mine's phenomenally accurate with off the shelf .44 SPL or .44 MAG and a ghost ring. With a scope it would be even more impressive, but there's been no need to try one. Since I bought it, I've barely got another rifle out of the cabinet in 9 months.
