Well now i have run her in how would you recommend i clean her, i do my HMR after every outing, i spray 009 down bore and go down a few times with a wire brush unscrew at muzzle etc then i push cigarette filters down and out until they come out clean sometimes spraying bore before pushing down, then when i go out i do one cold bore shot as this is usually high to left, then i can shoot ten rabbits for ten shots its bang on, but do i have to do my .223 alot more thorough with copper remover etc

Well if you've run it in as per your original post hopefully you've reached copper equilibrium?
Personally once mine is run in I'm going to give it a clean using Wipe out Patch out every 100 rounds as that's what an average comp's round count is & then take it from there, a bit of experimenting is required until you get to know your barrel & what it likes.

The best barrel cleaner bar none is C2R, carbon and copper remover.
Do a search it has been extensively tested and recommended on here.

I dont bother with any running in having talked to quite a few gun plumbers.
With my new LMT, I just fired a few rounds to zero, cleaned it as normal, then took it straight to a McQueens 200 yard match and managed 50.3 - then cleaned it as normal. Then its next outing was 300 yard McQueen it got me a 50.9 followed by a 50.7
This "running in" question is almost as big a can of worms as "cleaning" - ask 100 shooters what their regime is and you will get 100 different opinions !!
Thats with factory GGG 168gr ammo.
Some here have said that not running in means you wont get the best from your barrel - well, how much better can you expect from a LMT with factory ammo ?

It's a dilema alright, I've thought long & hard about this & decided as long as I'm using a bore guide it's only a bit of hassle running in a barrel, who knows if the first 3 shot group is brilliant I wont bother.
