I also throw a lot of my charges, just depends on the level of consistency you need.
I find that the smaller charges need to be more accurately weighed than the larger ones for consistent velocities especially in the 1200-1800 fps range with fastish rifle powders.

Hmmm, the consensus seems to be that RCBS is a good choice. We're going to use the powder thrower and scales at first, but longer term we're torn between the Chargemaster / Lyman G6 elektrikkeral scales and a Target Master used to top up an under thrown charge by a grain or two.
As for dies, we think Lee might be just about perfect for us if we are only neck sizing

Badger,

Yeah sure but you have to remember that even though you're neck sizing the brass at some point it will have to be full length sized as well. That's when a decent FL die comes into play, I recommend Forster Dies for that job.

tackb,
I just throw my charges and weigh every tenth one to check
Yeah that's what I do for pistol, never had a problem in all the years I've done it.

Now, any suggestions about powder? We're thinking of Ramshot Magnum, with Viht N560 a possibility too.
