Probably a 10 shot Beretta 1301 as I have target/practical shotgun training on Sunday at Bisley, it would be nice to use my own kit.
I'd love to get this:

Nothing yet mate, 10 weeks and counting.
Nice! I'm actually considering a variation already for an s1 shotgun

Well.....
Spoke to a very friendly chap at SYP, he checked the system and called me back.
Apparently I've been sent away to be PND vetted as required by the HO.
Unfortunately this is done by a 3rd party so I'm stuck with their time-scales and SLA (or lack thereof).
I'm not sure if this is SOP, because of my security clearance or something else entirely.
For now it's just a case of sit-on-my-hands and wait..... sign01

So, 12 weeks on, still no form.
Just called, again, for an update. I'm still on the list for the PND "intelligence" check, "hopefully [they'll] get through the back-log over the next couple of weeks".
Fkin brilliant.
I wonder if they'd appreciate the bill I should send to them for the wasted months of my club membership that I've not been able to use to it's full-extent due to their complete lack of disregard for reasonable time-frames when processing fairly standard forms.
How can they even remotely consider increasing fees when they can't even guarantee they can manage the system as it is, and has been for several years. Maybe if they thought about efficient ways of working they could cut costs and time-scales.

16 weeks :-(
Apparently I'm through the PND, waiting to be processed now.
Might be sorted just before the winter snows, next winter :'(
I don't read my own signature!
