Control. Gives the coppers a warm glow in their special regions if they can exercise arbitrary authority over us.
(or there's a school of thought which says a large quantity of ammo in one place becomes an increasingly more attractive target to criminals who learn of its whereabouts, but I prefer my version)

I must make exceptionaly good tea & have great taste in biscuits
12 slots for initial grant in December last year but 3 were moderators
.22rf 1000/1200 upped to 2000/3000 after 6 months
.357/.38spl 450/600
12 Bore Slug 300/350
Should fill all the slots within the next few months then time for a few more

.38/.357 under lever rifle
.22 rifle +mod
.308 rifle +mod
.223 rifle + mod
12g high cap shotgun
.38/357 LBR
Ammo:_
1000/1200.22
500/600 everything else plus 500/600.32 auto for the.308 with adaptor oh and .38/357 was 500/600 too
All turned around in one month exactly (with the exception of an accidental ammo omission in the post for correction now) by the very helpful, friendly people at the Devon and Cornwall Firearms licensing team and the Plympton FEOs :)

clapclap Well eventually my ticket landed on the floor this morning, I did get all eight rifles, four moderators and ammo, however that was knocked down to 250/200 for all calibres, so all in all I'm pretty happy.
Let the buying begin.

I posted my forms off a couple of weeks ago asking for .22LR, .223, .308 and 12GA Slug. I've not heard from them yet but I expect they may ask me to ditch the section 1 shotgun and slugs and put a variation in later.

Just had the first renewal of my FAC.
Hats off to Northumbria Police - extra slots for .223/5.56 and plenty of ammo, as well as a couple of moderators and an open ticket now to shoot on any land I have permission on.
Very friendly FLO too.
My dream now is to go down to Lantac (other retailers are available ahem..) and just choose a .223 and add all the bits that feel/look the nicest. Unfortunately I haven't got a spare £2500.....

Not had the call from my FEO yet but they've cashed my cheque and my safe is all installed and ready to go. Could I maybe get a nice Christmas pressie? I suspect my first purchase may be a custom 10/22 I've seen on a nearby shop's website or a 15-22 performance centre edition from suffolk rifles.
