Oh we can get 100 rounds of nice Russian ammunition in its ikkle sealed packets for the same price as your 70 rounds of paw loads. Even full price, 100 rounds of 7.62x54R can be had for around £25 / 100 from many dealers.
Well that (and the fact that I'd 'under-guessed' the cost of my own ammunition) kind of blows my argument out the water...

...but personally I couldn't cope with 4 MOA...

It's minute of Hun at 200m, which is all that was required of it...

If we want 1 single MoA, we reaches for our Swiss K31.

Wouldn't mind one of those either...

My next rifle is going to be a Martini Henry .303, but not sure when...and that's the top of quite a long list ;)

Cheers for the info, I may well contact them when the 'time, money, and cabinet space equation' is right...but when I actually go looking for one I'll be making my first inquiries at Pukka Bundhooks...

So, oomans, what barrel length would you recommend for this project? We're thinking of a heavy stainless Lothat Walther barrel married to a Mosin Nagant action, possibly a Tula.

Our original plan was to use a P14 but we were told here that the bolt face wouldn't be able to pawdle* a 7.62x54R cartridge
