Isn't this thread about the .223 Unicorn?

Just to add further confusion to the thread,

I see that Bob has added a .308 straight pull AR to his line up/ I am sure it would be a joy to own, but at over £3000 for the base model I have to say that I would rather own a TRG or second hand AI bolt action.

The timings are the same across all classes of CSR, so it would only be changed if everyone had a lever release - including historic, so not sounding likely then! The timings are not that tight, most people don't struggle to get all their rounds off.

The only course of fire that it might hold a significant advantage is the reflexive fire match and as that's at 25 metres, you could shoot it with 9mm if you were so inclined. That course of fire has been used once in the last two seasons (to my knowledge)

At £5k, I can't see him selling that many.

Are these still £5k?

Has anyone bought one?

Met a guy at the Phoenix who just picked one up, met him again a couple of hours later after he shot it and he was very upset that it did not cycle RG (he had quite a stash apparently) but if you do your research the old RG pressure curve was designed for the L85 and won't work very well in an AR.

Do you know what he paid for it?

£5k is a lot.

I know of one chap who has one and he's quite pleased with it. Better be for 5K. The 3K difference between the SGC LR556 and a CSA MARS would buy a lot of greebles and ammo.
