Re: Tommy Atkins goes plastic.....
IF its a good bit of kit ...
Re: Tommy Atkins goes plastic.....
I've had a Glock 21 for around 15 years now and I've put thousands of rounds through it without ever an issue. Once put about a thousand rounds through it in a day and a half at a Schutzenfest. No issues at all and not one stoppage. Saying that though even though it is accurate as heck, it's my least favourite handgun. My go to hand gun every time is my Ruger P345. There is nothing about the gun I dislike and like the Glock there, I've never had any issues with it either.
The Glock would have been moved on years ago but my wife enjoys shooting it, she's not big on the cleaning part though. zzzzom

This is good news, never liked the BHP
Glock is a better pistol, had them in 9mm & 45 back in the day.

I was waiting for someone to say they didn't like them. I used one a few times a couple of years ago - it even had the old slab sided plastic grips with chequering. It felt really crude, and I must confess, I was of the opinion there were probably better options for the 21st century.toffe wrapper wrote:This is good news, never liked the BHP

With the glock, I take it the holster used will keep the trigger covered? Otherwise it could end nastily for some unfortunate personnel.

Is the SIG out of favour these days?
Re: Tommy Atkins goes plastic.....
Its more expensive they went for the cheapest pistol that would do the job. They will keep the army medics busy with the upsurge of N/D-S.Is the SIG out of favour these days?
