There are many approaches to keeping the fouling down such as blow tubing, wiping 'tween shots with all sorts of concoctions (eg moose milk, snark snot, jabberwockie juice, griffon phlegm etc etc), paper patching, moister powder like Swiss (Krankies is a notoriously dirty and hard caking powder), duplex loading, grease cookies and bore scrubber discs, fillers and any combinations thereof along with other bespoke practices that every individual BPC shooter will swear blind will save the universe.
Test and try and see what suits you.
Me I'd go for grease cookies tween beeswax discs, moister powder, wiping tween shots and the udder cream on the boolit. If you switch to a better powder then you might get away with the udder cream and wiping 'tween shots, well I do anyway.

BTW I wouldn't recommend duplex loading in a Snider.

Also I don't shoot RB, I use a couple of collar button type boolits which have a generous lube groove, such is the nature of the collar button design, which I fill with a beeswax, tallow Lanacote mix.

Smokeless in a MKII* ? I am a BP fan, but some damp days, we just can't seeeeeeee
I would not use smokeless powder in a Snider and would strongly advise against it, would you load a Pattern 1853 or any other historic muzzle loader with smokeless powder?

Now that you mention it, nope...
Going to visit the Krankies soon, will check out their other molds.

Just an update for Snider folks here.
I had a session at the range, this time, pulling through a damp, tight-fit cleaning cloth, dampened with plain water, after each boom.
The results were excellent, the groups start tight as before, but now stay tight.
One of the first groups, before it got harder to see.. was .68" center-to-center, with 5 targets averaging 1 to 1.25 inch at 25 yard
From a Cavalry Carbine, only elbow supported with iron sights, I can't complain.
I used only a dried film of Lee Alox on each ball. Cleanup was easy, no lead fouling.
But I don't get many shots off each firing detail (3 on average), so I'd like a way to cut the barrel residue right down in the load itself, so going to try some felt wads and other sweepers just as soon as I can get over to Kronkites.
