ACOGs are robust but not particularly good optics, far better off with a low power variable scope.

Trijicon have been brought into the UK for some time now by Beechwood sports. Not sure if they are the official importers though

Update:

Have since found that ACOGs are in fact legal in the UK. It is however apparently forbidden to export from US the 'horseshoe' type reticle and sell to non Mil/Police. YMMV.

Doughnut, Triangle, Chevron, Crosshair all legal.
