Help! Lantac or SGC

Re: Help! Lantac or SGC
I took delivery of my SGC AR a couple of weeks back and I'm very happy with it. As has been mentioned, the company (mention no individual names) aren't the easiest to deal with, but I'm really pleased with the product. I went in with my expectations managed by what I'd read on here and elsewhere, so that helped.
I also looked at Lantac (bit pricey for me), Bradley (didn't have anything available for ages) and Valkyrie Rifles, who I'd heard good things about. http://www.valkyrierifles.net/ar15typerifles.htm

AHPP's Bradley Arms AR15 in the for sale section was good value, ended up telling my mate and he's paid a deposit on it, free float A2 with side cocking and trigger job, 4x mags plus reloading kit, what's not to like.

Re: Help! Lantac or SGC
I see on FB that Paul at Lantac has commented that his CMMG rifle is reviewed in 22 Shooter. The other rifle on test from a "box shifter" failed to work! He is also now refusing to do remedial work on rifles that weren't supplied by him. Good decision I say! Now with Bradders not supplying rifles just yet you can narrow the field down to who the box shifter is and it is fair to say that Paul's decision is bourne by frustration at having to fix other suppliers rifles. Is there any choice right now?Great article about the CMMG 22LR and LANTAC in this months Shooting Sports magazine. Some box shifters put one of their guns in for review at the same time but it wouldn't work properly and was a disaster. Unlike the LANTAC rifle that performed as it should.
We strip every single CMMG and re-crown them to get the most out of these rifles. Full length ejection ports are fitted as standard as well as function testing and tweaking if necessary. These guns don't work with upgra
de triggers without serious modification either. We also have a massive stock of spares and upgrade parts.
We have worked incredibly hard to build the brand of CMMG in the UK as a reliable quality rifle, by looking after our customers and having the skill & knowledge to make these rifles work properly. Therefore we will only be supporting customers with our spares and repairs service if their serial numbers match our records. Sorry to say that we cannot offer any assistance or support for rifles imported by others.
If you want the best then please give us a ring.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
Re: Help! Lantac or SGC
Well, I've taken the plunge and ordered a 223 straight pull Raven from Lantac :shakeshout: .
Went to see Paul a couple of days ago and was very impressed with the rifle. Ordered a few upgrades such as improved trigger, longer barrel and a rather nice muzzle break but other than that keeping it simple until I'm used to shooting the AR and know what I want / need to change.
Paul was really helpful and is a top bloke, now just got to wait for it to be built.
Thanks for everyones advice and opinions.

Sorry if I missed you, please supply a phone number with any online submissions so I can phone you back. Its been hectic here and we have a pile of emails to go through.Dr. Strangelove wrote:I've tried phoning LanTac and also sent them an online submission, nothing! It sounds as if it's an isolated incident but I was very unimpressed. It isn't hard to answer an online submission form!
New CNC Lathe is due for install mid Jan and its taking a lot getting ready for it.

Paul just put this little puppy together for me. Am pretty happy with it and his service and will def go back to him again. He knows his stuff, is fair and cares about his customers.
