From McCloys? Love that place.
Not on this occasion, McCloys has a good selection of firearms.

I know a guy that has one for his 9 MM CZ 75 P0/7 definitely not a airsoft.
yes but the uk guys might as well use the airsoft kit, its not like you are using an extended barrel of the real kit, just housing your real gun in a plastic frame. same look, fraction of the cost

On that note; just bought a killflash. Real thing: £175. Chinese knock-off (same construction and works perfectly) £15. Guess who got my money?...

I can't bring myself to put airsoft parts on any of my rifles. It would bother me...

I had a pair of airsoft Troy Battlesights for a Brocock C02 AR15 before I had my FAC and unless you knew better, you'd think they're fine. They worked. When I bought a real set, the difference is night and day. Airsoft parts are made from cheaper plastics and monkey metal, which is fine for airsoft but not for me.

sights are crap, yes. but then they are for a fairly inaccurate rifle, for around 30 - 40 mtrs. people that on the whole don't know how to use sights.
airsoft furniture though, is a whole other ball game. not really suitable for full bore, but for .22 stuff...

Pretty sure the Magpul PTS line was manufactured with the same materials (and, thus, tolerances) than regular Magpul stuff - only difference being they weren't warrantied for use with real firearms.

I had an airsoft Daniel Defense rail on it and it was of the same quality.

I've held a DD lite rail and an airsoft version in my cold live hands and the airsoft one was significantly heavier and the anodising was worn from just popping a sight on and off it.
Airsoft stuff is what it is and for most things shooting it's fine, forgeries, stocks even, they do the job unless you're a professional rifle operator in which case I'd buy something sturdier.
But for target shooting and carefully use, no difference aside from fit and finish.
Also, there's no such thing as an "airsoft" version, there are loads of companies that make knockoff magpul stuff, some very very well, others very very badly. if you want to compare a Tokyo Marui DD rail to a real DD one then fine, but you can't make meaningful and therefore useful (on here) comparisons without knowing the manufacturer.
