Personally I don't give a sh1t what other folks wear and those that have a brush up their arse . When are these pc knobheads going to realise that we are ALL about shooting in all it's art forms and anything you wear to keep warm at reasonable cost is ok.
So--- shut the fook up you clothing Nazis , get off you high horses and just do some shooting.

Agree.

The caveat is the public impression argument which I guess is simply down to your view on your right to wear what you want or your role (if any) at representing the sport to the outside World. There is no right answer, simply personal view. I imagine it will come down to clubs themselves in that they will decide and impose whatever view that they consider is right and the members either abide or find another club. Market forces at work I guess.

Ah the old public impression again. Haven't seem much about it in the media or read about any non sportsmen complaining about it to the media, have you? This public impression thing is nothing more than an excuse in order to take the next step of banning camo clothing. I'd put money on it, also if clubs want to go down the road of banning it well that's up to them. I just know that I wouldn't want to belong to any club that dictates what I can't and can wear.

Someone with a gripe will ALWAYS try to blame the masses to support their issue. Public impression is what we tell them it is, instead of apologising we need to defend our sport to the hilt, something the UK NRA could do with understanding.
This really comes down to Bisley causing as many issues add it resolves, just stick to shooting and leave the politics alone
