:goodjob:
Does the AFG1 have the removable front strap so you can have it smooth or with the finger ridge (as shown)? Also, was it much hassle putting that quadrail on it?

Not entirely sure about the afg, it came with spare bits for the grip though so I assume its interchangable.
Quadrail was more hassle than I thought it would be. It involved taking a dremmel to the receiver... not for the faint hearted!

Tony, nice rifle. Do you know of any mover bases for sale anywhere?
Also, tell me more about that mag release lever please.

I know 2 guys that live local to me and shoot at my club both making mover bases :)
will ask what they are making, as I know one clamps to your rail, but I dont like that as it starts to stack up and get tall, Im pretty sure the last time I spoke with the other guy he was getting a cutter to match the profile of the top of the ruger receiver, the one in the pic above is on the old tactical innovations receiver, they used to have removable rail, but now its all milled out in 1 piece.
prices are about £170 I think, but they are totally hand made, no CNC etc, so time is huge and I doubt they actually making much on them
the mag release is my own design and fabrication, made the first one, in the pic at beginning of 2008, just before kidd brought out his lever, however mine has the bolt hold open button built into it, making locking the bolt open a total doddle, designed and made for 1500 match to save time.
made 3, 1 in Ireland, 1 in london, 1 in Devon :)
