Sig Sauer P226 LBP

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

They do look nice....

I'll stand by that if it had been more around the price tag of the K22 or the TSC he would have sold a truck load....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

On the "not going into battery" issue, I wonder whether the slide internals could be catching on the magazine feed lips as it rides over them, causing the slide to drag and not quite go forward far enough. That would mean the first hammer drop would bump the slide forward a touch and the second would fire the round.

If that's the case your friend might find it beds in over time as if I remember rightly the feed lips are polymer.

Sim, give him a chance, it's only just gone on sale. He may well shift a truck load :-)

It's worth remembering the strange rules around these guns too. Only a person with that serial numbered gun on their FAC may handle the pistol.

Aside from dealers, only the owner can touch the pistol.
Why is that, any other club member can shoot another handgun even if they don't have an FAC.

So I may be joining the party a little late on this one but I was asked to post my videos on here by qws who was present on the day I got to shoot the iP226. The first video is a complete overview of the pistol from Mike Jakes, the owner of Icon arms, and the second is my review and take on it including footage of the gun being shot. Hope you guys enjoy.

Good videos. I'd buy one if I was after a .22 LBP. They have pedigree.

Ordnance. This is contentious. Some clubs have recently put them on a club ticket. Here in Derbyshire though for example, the official work is that a LBP or section one shotgun can only be used if listed by serial number on your ticket.

I know. Inconsistent nonsense.

I keep hearing rumours of a new set of legislation after the election to simplify things.
