Maybe it isn't a big deal, but they made a bit of a fuss when I asked for 2 x .308's on my initial grant. I thought multiple slots for the same caliber was frowned upon, but I guess not.
FEOs like to come up with spurious reasoning to kybosh applications/variations. Seven Ps is the way forward! Multiple guns in the same calibre should not be an issue if all aspects of the application, such as good reason and security are all in place.

I have had a dozen and a half 303s on my ticket, currently just have seven along with other multiple slots for same calibres, as has been said all you need to do is demonstrate good reason, most of mine are for being "part of a collection, research and target shooting".
