Not sure if we're allowed to endorse suppliers on the forum, but I recommend JH Steward from Bisley/Bath www.stewardsportsglasses.co.uk . Very useful to deal with a shooter who understands shooting requirements - ie the position of the eye if you prone shoot, etc. He even encourages you to take your rifle into his high street optician shop so that he can produce optimum spectacles geometry - something Specsavers is unlikely to be happy with!
I bought a couple of pairs of the Zeiss shooting glasses, made up as bifocals. The "close" lens I had made with a slight over-correction (ie a magnification) and these are fantastic for fiddling with a target sight or at the gunsmith workbench. The "far" part of the lens is a matter of choice. JH Steward usually recommends a slightly less than 20:20 correction, so that the foresight is in sharp focus. My second pair has a full 20:20 correction because i happen to shoot a lot at Fig11s and find it important to be able to distinguish the various aiming points on the target.
