I have permission on my firearm cert to shoot fox with .3030win 308win 6.5x55se and have done so. Yep, they all kill them but I have never felt that I over- kill them ;)

Aye, had fox and goat, and for the destruction of vermin on my cert for. .220swift, .243, 25/06, .270 and .308. Must admit they did the business. Never had a fox complain.

It also stated on the cert,

"To be used on any land where the cert owner has permission to shoot, and it is safe to do so." "And on any authorised range for sighting in purposes".

That's about as "open" as you could get a ticket down our end I think.

My mates cert had a couple of things on it, "to be used only on land deemed suitable by the Chief Constable" was one of them. Although he was just over the "border" from me in West Yorkshire.
