My No.4 when I got it was apparently never shot, whether it is true or not I'm not sure, but there was no wear on the gun at all,
So here is a photo of the bolt face after I put a few hundred rounds through it

I also have a sporterized No.4, done by Parker Hale, got this rifle for free, which is always a bonus

I used to have this P14, but the barrel had something wrong with it, so the RFD being the gent he was exchanged the rifle. Now have a new P14 with pictures coming soon

Finally my 2 SMLEs, the top one is a 1917 LSA, still has windage adjustable sights, the bottom one is a BSA dated 1929, sadly de-activated, I got this when I first started collecting guns and didn't have a FAC

Thanks for the pics, the 1917 LSA looks lovely... Got to love that dark tone to that stock. :good:

Do you know if the Phoenix Arms Fair is a good place to pick up a nice .303?

It might be if you know what you are looking for, or can take along a knowledgeable friend. Otherwise there are people on here who can probably point you in the right direction.

Log on to cgfirearms.co.uk and take a look at their stock.
I have bought 4 rifles from them, including a No.4 Mk1/2 with a mint barrel.
Chris Goodwin is a great guy to deal with and his stuff is always top quality.

Wow, I would have all of them if I could.

Hard to believe that they are still in great condition, truly good builds in them days. I can't wait to get one.

Regards

Thanks for the link, I can't believe I've never seen a De Lisle Commando .45 ACP before. I appreciate these are only reproductions as there were only 130 ever made, but wow what a rifle!
