As DM says, I have just asked for permission to have work on S1 shotguns added to my ticket and will know tomorrow with luck.

Slightly OT (sorry) but I use a hatsan pump for PSG (S2 while serving club probation and pre FAC) and its a great starter gun. I am upgrading to a benelli supernova as I've now come to the point where the Hatsan is limiting my loading speed. It could be made to 'go faster' but for me shooting pumps, a benelli isn't much of a cost increase.
I'll keep the hatsan as a spare or if a friend wants to try out PSG.
Overall I'd recommend the pump as a starter gun for anyone wanting a pump. Don't think I'll ever sell it either.
The Remington 870 extension tubes fit the pumps. The Nordic components being the best ones to get apparently.

I have owned a MPA for 2 years now and I think it is a great gun and it cycles everything apart from 65mm carts. The only fault, and it is a user fault, is where the cartridge is not pushed into the tube correctly when loading and this results in the cartridge popping out a jamming between the two parts of the lifter (think of Y shape with an extra I over the Y!). As long as you have a key, or something slim, you can push the cartridge back into the tube a keep shooting; otherwise you stop shooting and borrow something slim of someone else.
My Zombie reliability rating (I use/used all these for PSG) =
MPA: 97%. Less 3%=not pushing the cartridge into the tube.
Remington 1100: 95%. Less 5% for firing spring / pin breaking.
Benelli M1: 100%. Just works all the time.

The problem which comes with PSG, particularly given the restricted length magazine, is when a person is loading the gun to capacity and
beyond and the last cartridge they try to put in can't be shoved all the way into the magazine, and then becomes stuck. This also means that it can't simply be pushed forward into the magazine using a tool

I've actually had to tear a cartridge to pieces using 2 knives while its still in the gun to fix it
Plus in an official IPSC PSG match you are not permitted to use tools to rectify a problem on a stage

Great feedback from you all on this gun - many thanks.
I have taken the 'bull by the horns' on this one and have decided to order one. As usual with me I will be stripping it down on receipt to have a good look and hopefully be able to find a 'work around' with the 'double lifter' issue. Yes, I know I will invalidate the warranty !
Anyhoo - I will hopefully come back with something positive but if I complete cock things up I will amble slowly into a corner and whistle quietly to myself and never mention the subject again !

Please let me know if you do find a way to cure this, i know quite a few people who would be grateful! Plus it will address probably the only downside to the gun

Greg, if you can cure the problem then I'll be in the queue to buy one.
I have heard that other guns have the lifter welded in place. What does this involve and is this problem similar to the Hatsan's?

What about the loading design of the Remington 1100 & 11-87 ?
The MPA looks similar from the photo's posted here...
The Rem. "quick fix" solution is to install one of the DMW Easy Loaders.
