The letter circulated by the good Maj (RET) Salisbury specifically bans "7.62 / .308 and above"

7.5 is definitely LESS than 7.62

Though technically speaking you can't measure a hole.

There's nothing there to measure.

All you can do is measure its borders...

Actually a .308" bullet is 7,82mm and the nomenclature (Is that the right word?) would suggest the 7,5 Swiss is 0,32mm smaller even though it is the same bullet...
