An actual shop would be great, even like a little serving hatch like the old off licences on the sides of pubs during non opening hours would be ok,as long as one could bulk buy what one needed, within reason,u can go down the nsra and bulk buy .22 and very many do!

and there in lies the rub! the NSRA can stock and sell bulk ammo, because, by and large everyone is buying the same calibre and most likely weight of bullet (I know..there are always some awkward folk who want to be different and use an obscure brand or weight) now compare that to fullbore where people get precious about which bullet,case,primer,powder,lube,scales,press,dies..........phew! and thats before you even mention calibre!
I believe Karen has posted before on the mark up for NRA Ruag .308 and if I remember correctly it was not excessive, however,if like me, you reload and/or shoot milsurp, then the NRA are not particularly competitive considering the bulk they can buy in, and considering the competition within relatively few miles! maybe that is the way forward? I struggle to see the NRA offering a true "one stop" sales outlet for all calibres as this is the territory of the enthusiast RFD, the logistics would be formidable! but why are the NRA not more competitive in the core calibres? (.308,.223,9mm etc?)
