Hair wax. Now I know this may not apply to some of our forum members however...

I am a great fan of Imperial Sizing Wax and having had a teenage son and daughter in the house I could not help but notice the similarity between ISW and hair wax. Has anyone else noticed this and more to the point anyone care to test this theory. A younger forum member (with hair) maybe?

Tallow and castor oil based 2T oil, heat in microwave mix then let cool.
Does not build up like imperial.
Not so liquid as the 2T on it's own.
Now if I could find some Anhydrous lanolin for a reasonable price...

I believe Dromia has anhydrous lanolin - and it seems more reasonable than the liquid lanolin I recently ordered (inadvertently from the US). Still, even with expensive liquid lanolin the lube works out at circa £15 per litre, compared with £40+ per litre for one-shot or Dillon lube.

Mink oil, the grease you use to water proof your leather boots. (Hornady Unique lube is mink oil)
And Non stick Cooking spray.

Two cheap case lubes that have been used for years and work great.
No need to heat up, or mix, or any of that other VooDoo Bull.
Well unless you just love to waste your money.

Nonstick cooking spray is sold everyplace food is sold, and Mink oil is right next to the shoe polish.

Considering that a small tub of Imperial Sizing Wax lasts FOREVER & works GREAT ...is it REALLY worth '*uggering about' with the rest?

Lee resizing lube has worked for me the last 18 months never a stuck case (now putting on hard hat and heading for cover)

Nonstick cooking spray is sold everyplace food is sold, and Mink oil is right next to the shoe polish.

Tallow has been used for years as a high pressure lubricant in press tools, the 2T just thins it down a little.
No voodoo here or any real expense, just maybe you acquired some sour grapes?

I'd definitely prefer to '*ugger about' with a spray lube with 500, 1,000 or 10,000 cases to lube, process and de-lube.

I am still using the tube that came with my press 2 years back. I have never had any problems with it but always found the amount that I was suppose to be using a bit of a guessing game.
Then I read that you can mix it with water and since trying that have found it to work really well, never had a stuck case or damaged case whilst using it and find that the tube is lasting even longer.

My method, as there were no instructions on how to mix it, is to put a pea sized blob (technical name) amount on a strip of 4x2 in the bottom of a small ice cream tub. I then add a little water so that the 4x2 is wet but not enough to slosh around. I mix the Lee wax with the water so that it all goes milky and then throw in a handful of cases. As long as the cases are a little wet, I find that is enough.

Maybe not orthodox, but it works for me every time,

that sounds like a good idea, I had read the bit about adding water, but didn't know how much to add, the original tube I got has lasted well over 1000 cases, the 4x2 I am going to sound thick here, but is that 4x2 wood? or am I floundering well off course ?
