I think it looks very good.

If you are knowingly using brass drill a full pilot and lubricate the screw, I use Vaseline for brass in most woods and I am still wary of using the things. If in doubt put a conventional wood screw in first to cut the hole and then replace with brass.

Thanks for the tip mate - I've fallen foul of brass screws before, so should know better.....

Anyway - how comes we didn't get more details about how the bipod was made?....or did I miss the thread?

I just didn't post anything on it, the bipod had been discussed to the nth degree in this house already so in some respects the MkI was all talked out, plus people must be getting a bit fed up with me babbling on about what is made in the shed, I know the Viking is.... :lol:

Not getting 'fed up' at all - It's all very interesting, and personally I'm learning stuff that may be usefull in the future....

....and don't worry about the Viking; she probably just bitter that you're making yourself a gun...where as she's only getting a knife... :P

She gets to shoot whatever is in the house so the pistol project is as much mine as hers. I intend to order some materials for it tomorrow to test a couple of design ideas and processes out.
