Well done gentlemen, especially those of you making the trip for the first time.
Looking forward to meeting you all in the communications trench before moving off to the front.

Well, there's 100 entrants now and only a few non-SMLEs. I believe the entries are being held open until there are hopefully 100 SMLEs on the point on the 100th anniversary of the Armistice.

Entered and confirmed with a shooting colleague - both SMLE's but post WW1 but "in spirit" as checked they were OK with it.
Thye have confirmed that as of this morning they have now got a total capacity of 112 shooters as added extra lanes. To date 103 entries so max of 9 spaces left......
Should be a very good day indeed, and looking forward to maybe bumpoing in to a few Forum Members during the course of the day.
Now to dig out the 1907....

I’ve just signed up. Perfect excuse to try out the 1917 SMLE I picked up. Couple of our club members going too.

Not in the slightest, most of us that are, are just rocking up for the craic and to make it an occasion. It wont happen again. The plan was to get 100 WW1 British rifles firing together which is edging slowly closer, although many (me included) are sharing rifles. As one NRA icon said, "Medals are incidental, its about the day/occasion"
Now then......just how do I make a scoped AR15 look like a SMLE?

I can supply some woodwork..... but the invisible paint for the scope is just a wee bit harder

You are trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
