The accuracy is an unexpected bonus - and I am prepared to pay a little extra for good equipment and components for .303 and .308. But it's a fact that I couldn't afford to shoot the amount of .357 I do without reloading...

Also the convienience is great - you don't have to worry about where you're getting your favorite ammo from, or when you're going to pick it up - just make it as you need it :D

If you were to cast your own boolits shooting your 357 could be nearly as cheap as shooting a .22 :0037:

Thank you Filippo...that's another one to look out for :good:

Alpha1: Casting my own would be interesting, but unfortunatly time is short as well as money  - I got in tonight, and loaded 100 for tomorrow night - it only took 1 hr, and at £6/7 cost, is ok on both fronts....

Not yet  - have you seen the price of some of these books  - I'm scanning the usual places..eblag, amazon etc. - so I'm going to take my time and wait for some bargains....

In the mean time, the forum is an excellent source of reading ..... e.g. I now know that a 'floating mandril' isn't some sort of swimming baboon :-P

 Swimming baboon, love it.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Quick tip for volume reloading .357

Advice also applies to rifle rounds

THE TIP
When finished reloading the round place the cartridges in an old bank bag and put in some baby /foot powder!
;)

Rub it around a bit in your hands - run excess powder off in and old towel

RESULT
Result any small lead shavings are striped off
All residual lube on outside of case removed
Any sweat /oil from your hands is neautralised
They don't tarnish if stored
Any oil in the primer area also cleaned out

They feed better

Your rounds also smell nice!
