Having a quick squint at the SLG Bisley Facebook page, I would say it looks like a full custom job...

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

John has a workshop in Germany,he buys the frames there and puts them together there, then brings them into the UK as sec 1,so all done properly....I've got a l frame so 38/357 but that was my choice,I'm also shooting 357 cases where as most are using k frames with 38 cases.....I like to be different! Very good quality and it's nice to get a proper accurate lbr......that actually shoots where you aim it...unlike the taurus...

Could be its being on sale for around 6 months, its a bit expensive unless you are big into revolver competitions shooting. I know a guy that sent his revolver over to Wilson for a few mods, i think he comes over here at times and sets up shop to carry out work on revolvers.

Sticking with LBR’s.

Do most use open sights or Dots / Scopes for comps?

I believe tho don't quote me that there are getting comps for both with iron sights and with optics.....

I wonder how John is able to buy Smith & Wesson frames in Germany , when Smith & Wesson wont supply Richard with frames in the UK .

Again assuming he’s just buying normal complete guns. Converting them and then supplying them to the UK. Therefore it doesn’t matter about the sec 5 rule of converting them UK side.

John buys second hand or new in Germany then has them rebarreled there so that when they enter this country they are classed as LBR's which are OK. You have the choice of starting with a new frame or second hand frame and this would be reflected in the final price.
That's my take on it.
