Ditto,

We are not allowed to download at my fullbore club.. I would be interested to know if this is a solution to enable me to shoot my .308 at the club..

if your certificate really does say pistol calibres only , then you can't shoot .22 LONG RIFLE there! Or 44-40, or 38-40. or 310 Cadet.

I'd also have to get .32 ammo on my FAC.

Are you sure its only pistol calibers and not muzzle velocity.
The problem with most of these clubs is they dont want to try anything new. I can safely re load for and shoot all of my military caliber rifles using cast bullets driven by fast pistol powders nothing to do with down loading.
Great fun and accurate at 25 yards.

I'll check next time I'm there but I think it specifically mentions pistol calibres, muzzle velocity and energy limits, no jacketed bullets and something about no downloaded fullbore or some such.

I believe that "pistol calibre" refers to any cartridge that has been chambered in a revolver or semi-automatic pistol so 3 out of the above 4 would be allowed. Not sure about the .310 Cadet.

The definition I got from the NSRA who are responsible for issuing the vast majority of these not fit for purpose, stupid and tenuous range certificates was a cartridge that was initially designed to be used in a hand gun.

I doubt it, the NSRA, who wallow in their ignorance, will no doubt think that a wildcat is some sort of feral feline.
