Hmmm, we're wavering between .22 Hornet and .223 Remington (in a Wylde chamer)

The Remington round is cheap and plentiful plus easy to load for, great selection of rifles too.

Glad we agree on the .222". ;) :D

The biggest drawback with the .223" is that most of the interesting rifles were made and chambered before this cartridge came on the scene.

.223 Rem - Crikey, that is about as boring and predictable as you can get.

What about a 221 Fireball?

Well if the stripey one wants a large choice of rifles to pick from then 221 unicornball is hardly going to crash your browser tab on gun star now is it.

But it is a boring cartridge. Cheap, dependable, accurate, widespread bit boring compared to even .22WMR
