I sent another message around the 20th July, no replyHello Stuart,
I still don't have the demo rifle available
The first batch is well on its way. The factory were just finalising the UK parts ready for assembly
There are still just about all Calibre's available when they arrive

Phone call might be an idea, plus for all we know, there might be a genuine reason for this happening?bradaz11 wrote:last i heard from them was 23rd June

If the lever release design lives up to my expectations, I will definitely be getting one these.

Re: Robinson XCR Lever Release - Who has one of these on ord
I've been prodding Lodock once a month since the order, the last time being a few days ago. I asked if the delay was down to essentially Lodock waiting to get enough orders in to get a batch made, the answer being in the negative.
In a bit more detail, the lever releases have slightly different receivers such that they can't be swapped in / out for normal receivers. This is allegedly to do with pre-empting an expected European law on "modular" rifles. This means that the parts are bespoke for the UK market.
Lodock have ordered a full complement of stock in all the options on the website and they are literally just waiting on Robinson to get all the UK specific parts together.
I've been quite patient of late - helped by the fact that the money I had earmarked for this is now getting spent on an IOR Crusader instead. So if this takes a couple more months to arrive - I'll not be too upset!

I have my expenses pending payment. 3k of it is earmarked on one with variation already done. But I've heard nothing from them. Starting to consider a caliber chandelier and getting a sgc lever release in 223

That thought had occurred to me too, but I do quite fancy a LR 308 - if SGC did a LR AR-10 - well, that'd be interesting. I must confess I don't like the fore end on the SGC LR AR's but I don't know enough about em to know if I can put something else on as is or if the barrel nut is specific to these.....bradaz11 wrote:I have my expenses pending payment. 3k of it is earmarked on one with variation already done. Either way - no rush for an XCR, season is starting to tail off for me a bit so it might be a next year gig.

I saw an ad in shooting sports for a 308 lever release from SGC...nickb834 wrote:That thought had occurred to me too, but I do quite fancy a LR 308 - if SGC did a LR AR-10 - well, that'd be interesting. Well looking at the new 45acp lever release's quick detach fore end. The barrel nut has about a 2" smooth section on it for the ris to grip onto

Are you sure? A couple of months ago Fat Bob said he wouldn't be doing a LR .308 for the "foreseeable future".....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
