I have a single and it came out of the box scratched, I am not OCD but it was annoying. I didnt do anything about it though cos they are too heavy to be buggering about with so just stuck some hammerite on.
Happy with the build quality but these little things do bother people.
I was just lazy but should have kicked up.

My ammo safe had obviously been dropped in delivery and put a dent on the front edge, it was noticable but not an issue. I queried it with the seller (ebay) and they refunded me 10% :o

Better than a kick in the face!

Well I had another call today to explain. Hopefully the advertising on these will be updated soon. Brattonsound accept that as a handed pair, the locks being at different heights is odd looking. However the reality of the situation is that these top end cabinets are not produced in high enough volume to merit costly retooling.
Maybe this will be addressed in some future version.
I don't think there was any attempt to misrepresent the product here, I just think they could have addressed the issue in better product information.

My cabinets are now fitted, wired and loaded. I have some tweaks left to do but I'm happy enough. I will just have to turn a blind eye when I get the keys out.

The cost of re tooling sounds like B/S to me .if there cut sing a cnc program its about 20 mins work and if there punched manually (as there not a regular seller) probably about the same .

it might be because they have to change the whole locking mech to relocate the lock?

I have two cabinets side by side - keyholes are at the same height, as expected. However, they changed the lock supplier between me purchasing the two cabinets. Both use double bitted keys, however on the first the two sides were at around 150 degrees and on the second they are exactly opposite and at 180 degrees. this means I have different shaped key holes on the two - it looks odd, however it does help me remember which key is which cabinet as one in chromed and the other plain brass.
