I'm left handed but all my bolt rifles are right handed except a K31 with a LH adapter. I've gotten used to being in a right handed world.
I'm a lefty too, its why I have the VZ58 mars, is the the left-handed adapter you mentioned this product at the end?

Yes, that is it.
Here's my 1952 K31.

Thanks, looks good. Might have to look into that someday. Does it work well for operation?

Yes, works great. I thought the K31 was fast when I worked it by tipping the rifle to the left and using my left hand, but with the LHA it is
really quick. I think a K11 would be even faster since the action seems a bit more smooth.

I have a left handed Scout in .308. It shoots a dream since I put a muzzle break on it. Even better since it has had a long eye relief scope mounted as well (though it could do with a better quality scope).
I think they were imported without the flash hider due more to the US export rules than the UK's import or licensing rules.

I always thought that too Matt, especially as until recently Australia and Canada had the same situation as us, so probably right.

Also, I get the feeling that other countrys' laws are why we have all these 22 look-a-likes (MP5, UZI, etc.) with a very long 16"+ barrels that would look so much better chopped down to nearer 12".

Certainly is the case with the US of all places (apparently the GSG5's failed the banned list of firearms in Canada as an MP5 "clone", Ak's being banned is why people buy VZ's there). I have heard that with the GSG and possibly the Umarex that overall length when needed a dissemble for cleaning is what means they have to stay 16 inches here also.

They don't have to be 16" over here, just have to have a minimum 12" barrel and when the stock is closed the overall is 24"+, like usual (so in practice the barrel may well be over the 12").
No other reason to have a longer barrel than that (apart from aesthetics perhaps and possibly shootability

).
