There's a secret sub-set of members (ooh err!), we only pretend to be taking about shooting, in reality it's something quite different (as I was saying to Saddlers other half only last night) :)
I'll get some decent photos done when I get back from Canterbury, my finger is just starting to heal after catching it on the el-cheapo C clips when I took them off the first time.

You shouldn't worry Mgi, other than this minor complaint I haven't heard anything serious against this rifle. Just give it a decent look over like any rifle and question anything that you're not happy with. Everything should be good considering the price of the thing.

It's a nice bit of kit, a lot of adjust-ability which is why I went for it, being 6' 5" I need a long LOP and an adjustable height cheek rest, with the Ruger these are supplied as standard. It's a shame they want £1300 for it when it sells in the USA for less than half of that (about $900), in comparison a Tikka T3 Varmint is almost a straight $ to £ comparison.

The problem is an export license is the same cost regardless of the price of the rifle. so cheaper rifles will always come out relatively more expensive than more expensive rifles as the export license is a lower percentage of the overall cost.

Rugers suggested retail price is $1399. On Gunbroker some of them are selling fir over $1500! Granted. Supply and demand will be playing a part in that. But, generally speaking, we seem to pay pound for dollar on the suggested, so 1300 quid is probably about right when all said and done.
Personally, it's not for me....
