The Nepal Martinis were British produced and given to Nepal. The Gehandras were Nepalese produced and should not be shot. The Nepal Francotte action Martinis are potentially dangerous and definitely should not be shot. See
www.britishmilitariaforums.yuku.com for all the research done on these firearms.

Just picked the gun up today it is a lovely gun on the outside and the inside of the barrel is very good too.
BUT under the stock is a bit of a problem there is a good amount of pitting.
Most of it im not worried about as its shallow but there are a few parts pretty badly pitted in my eyes at least. Any suggestions now im going to take it to my gun smith anyway to have it looked over.
Has anyone used a gun that is pitted and what where the results??

Watching with interest as I may be just about to buy one. Where do the guys that have them first shoot them, are you allowed to take these to the zero range as I would want to see how and where it shoots before I stretch it to 100yds or more. Also does anyone load with anything other than Black Powder, reason I ask is that I don't have the explosives cert and use Pyrodex in my ROA.

I use Pyrodex RS for my MH loads in my MKIV. 80 gr Pyrodex RS + kapok filler + grease cookie + felt wad + bullet. I get reasonable accuracy (for me at least!) with this set up.

Do you use paper patched bullets to bring them up to .468 which I believe is the standard size or bullets of the right size.

I use a .466 diameter bullet...close enough for me.
