You know we are beating our chests about a load of .22 single shot target rifles, which are probably not even licensed in most other countries.
I think it is more chav than IS and although it is a bad thing, and probably will end up resulting in chav on chav crime. I have every faith that the police will leave no stone unturned to recoup these WMDs and tell the public just what a danger they(and we) are in the process, but will continue to do bugger all to stop the AKs from being smuggled in by our new trading partners from eastern Europe. (along with the slaves and prostitutes)
I have a good idea, why don't they set up a crime stopper line dedicated to dodgy FAC holders so that we can let them know when our club brothers are bragging about their newly acquired off ticket BSA with diopters!!!

Nah, the police will issue a crime reference number, bollock the club for "poor" security (and give everything else at the club/about club members a "good going over", just to be safe) and then have ACPO and NABIS issue a few canned press releases about "all those evil FAC holders giving criminals very useful guns".

I assume that any "visitors" will have completed a S21 declaration...worth checking, although the crims would not necessarily put their correct details..perhaps in future all gun club visitors should be asked for ID to match their S21 declarations?

The haul may already be on its way to some East european country or some avid Chinese collector of old Brit firearms...the RF target rifles are not worth much in the UK...dioptre sights and the airguns might find a UK market. Once into France in the back of a Lithuanian/Polish/anything else lorry, there will be no border checks until Turkey! The joy of free movement around the EU....the criminal community must just love the EU commissars. Steal it in the UK on a Friday night, sell it in Europe by Saturday night!

...............lot of speculation tat the crims cased the club first? er............ in which case if properly run then there will be a record of name, dob & address of every visitor to the range? NOBODY visits our range unless invited & after they fill in a member form that is sent to the FLO.

agree tho a bunch of ignorant pikys smashed he wall ran off with the kit & have now dumped the 22 RFs in a canal & are taking the air rifles to bits to flog as spares on fleabay (prob for more than new parts from the OEMs too!)
