I sometimes wonder if it was a Yes vote that the balance of power might have been able to have changed in favour of gun ownerships. It would have been very dodgy however.

Quite likely would have left the country as I likely would have lost not only my guns but my career.

I have no doubt that the SNP supported by Labour and the Greens would increase fees. Of course it would be up to Scottish Gun owners to stand up for themselves.

The problem is that in Scotland ALL shooters are thought to be stinking rich owners of vast estates interested in slaughtering nice furry and fluffy things. The left have No idea of non urban activity and are happy to preach the politics of envy. The so called Scottish education produces even more numpties who follow the same line. That allied to their fear of actually doing anything about bad people will just lead to more and more restriction of the innocent. It has been horrendous to watch to come about over the last 30 years.

Quite true, I've experienced it from a lot of my work mates. Fortunately I've noticed that the younger generation are more open to shooting and dont have the same ideas that a lot of older people do.

Many young folk with an independent mind don't have a problem with guns or shooting, many are interested but just don't know how to take part.

It's the older people I generally find suffer the worst brainwashing. (Not in all cases right enough)

One thing is certain if any holder of firearms, shotguns or air weapons voted for SNP/Yes they should be ashamed of themselves.

Due to work commitments and general laziness on my part, I submitted my renewal 5 weeks before the due date. Watch this space for giggles.

Well I didn't put my renewal in until early Sept. This left me about 5 weeks for Police Scotland to process it. Last weekend I was speaking to a Police Officer about another matter and when she took my America she said "Oh, I'm coming to see you about your renewal" So phonecall today to arrange a visit on Sunday. She's confirmed that all the background checks were completed by last weekend. This will give them about 2 weeks to get my certificates out to me. She assures me this will happen.

Very strange buggers up in Dundee...

Put a one for one in on the 16th.
No more FEOs in Edinburgh...so it MAY be a beat bobby out to see me if anything needs checking.
