The problem with the original posters question is that for a lot of us our first firearm is now illegal in this country so it is impossible for us to still have them.

Then your answer will be no if the gun is now illegal. There is no problem with the question, it's a simple yes or no.

I still have the very first rifle I bought, a Remington 700 in .308.

Yes! The Mod 41.. A proper Pistol, wood and steel and looks terrific. If 22 Pistols return, that's the one I want..Dear though..Clicky..

My first Gun was a 22 BSA Century cost £12 in 1968.. Later on sold it to buy a 22 Vostock MU Pistol

Sold to me as new for £58 by a Dealer, turned out to be still registered in Thomas Hamiltons name (long story) and caused me no end of bother after Dunblane.

Aged 14, I emptied my saving book of all my B'day, X'Mas & odds jobs money & went with my father to the gunsmith to buy a Toz . He knew the gun of my dreams was really the Erma M1 22Lr . Dads know those things & he made up the difference. I still have it, still occasionally shoot it & since my son has his eyes onto it, the Erma will probably remain in the family for an other generation.

No, however I do still have the second full bore rifle I ever owned. I hate getting rid of my own rifles.

Yep- Steyr SPG-CISM in .308.

Unlikely to ever sell it, especially as re-barreling is much more accessible than it was even a few years ago.
