Picked up the unused #4mk2 a couple of weeks ago. Won't get to shoot it 'till Christmas since it is my present from the missus.

Very nice. Mine looked like that when I got it 20+ years ago. It's still in great nick, but it sure isn't unfired anymore.

Very nice indeed, I hear some of the last Faz manufactured examples require a little bedding work to make them shoot as advertised, as it was known that they would go straight to store.

Is this the case, or just rumour?

We shall find out the next time I'm at severnside with you!
I've never group tested mine and it's one of the last 20,000 out of the factory and was not shot by its previous owner.

Never heard that and not the case with mine. All I had to do was adjust the feed lips on the mag as it had never seen a round before and wasn't feeding correctly.

Sure, come on over! 100F today, water was 83F. The rifle stays out of the water though.

If you want a military rifle that shoots like a target rifle for under £400, buy a k31....if you are contemplating trench warfare...buy the lee enfield.
