Problem is that while the Mossberg is around £600 you'd need to add £340 for the chassis, £35-£100 for the butt stock and £25-£30 for the pistol grip for the end product as shown in the photo.

Looking on the US forums it seems quite a few don't shoot particularly well with some having to be returned to Mossberg to be re-barreled.

If the Ruger is as good as it's reported to be (and Ruger spend a LOT on advertising, product placement etc.) then even at £1,400 it's a pretty good deal (for a 6.5 that is!)

Alternatively just buy a known excellent Tikka T3 varmint in 260Rem and add the chassis of your choice

I am incredibly interested in this. The 60 degree bolt mimics an AI throw and is vastly faster to cycle than a Remington 700.

The fact it comes with a fully adjustable stock shows they have thought about this, and that it folds and takes any standard AR15 stock....

If the price ends up being right, this will kill the market for 700s in a Magpul stock, as the end price will be about the same, however the Ruger will have a better trigger, better stock, more adjust-ability and threaded barrel right out of the gate.

If Ruger has chambered the barrel to allow reloaders to load to mag length and still be within 20 thou of the lands, it'll be a perfect bolt gun for 99% of recreational shooters.

The only competition will be higher priced too.

For semi auto type rifles that are really straight pulls, the POF Revolt is going to dominate and provide a better product at a lower price than the LMT.

For bolt guns, the Ruger should, if it is everything they say it is, will provide a better product at a lower price (spec for spec) than the Remington 700.

Really looking forward to this being available.
