Result!

Well done that man.

....he should have refused the renewal though...eating Marmite as you do. I bet you did not disclose that to him.

Approved list! Pish! Does annoy me hearing tales of firearms depts with no idea. There are better calibres but Charlie won't argue with one. The ho guidelines are just that - a basis on which the department is meant to add, AND they should treat every application on its own merit. If you can justify them then you can have however many you want, but security could get onerous!

Hmm just a little concerned now,,,having gone through all the rigmarole and everything being approved,,,I still await the arrival of my renewed FAC complete with the Variation,,,,I know they are now very short staffed in the Firearms and Explosives Licencing Department in The Devon and Cornwall Constabulary,, due to recent staff cuts in the recent Police cuts, and they are very busy,,,but my FAC as it stands expires tomorrow,,,I thought the new one would have been in the post by today but it didnt arrive,, may have to make a call I think..just to be on the safe side,,,,should be ok as long as its all on record I believe.

Havent been advised that there are any problems with the renewal,,,the FEO said it was all ok,,,,been almost 2 months now since it was all sent off,,,,they (D & C Police) dont usaully take this long???

Make the call. We have had a European Firearms Pass disappear in the post once and ever since I have always been wary of our postal system....

Yeah make the call, just to be on the safe side.

I felt really rotten when I called the firearms licensing people and was told that my European license was sent out to me a long time ago.
Royal Mail obviously thought the letter was better off in the big pile of never to be delivered mail than in my mail box.

They issued a new one to me on the spot and we agreed that I could pick it up at the station.

I can't remember if we did that because we were running out of time or we wanted to avoid another RM non delivery.

No problems with the firearms officer, I never saw the one that didn't turn up, makes me wonder what happens with all the mail that never gets delivered.

They have dropped things off in the past by hand but I cannot recall if it was EFP's or Variations
