since when does acpo makes the laws in this country ? the home office have recently signed this off so they are not going to back track ! it would be quite interesting and difficult as to how a self unloading firearm as opposed to a straight pull firearm or any other type is especialy dangerous !

hopfully i this will not scare RFD's from making more self loading rifles and pistols in the future which i think the intent of theese idiots!

can anyone please tell me why ACPO are obsessed with banning all guns from members of the public??

Because ACPO are there to push government agenda and get gongs for their members.

Works like this: Government wants to ban guns but have NO reason for doing it. BUT a recommendation from the plastic police AKA ACPO and yep, "the POLICE want it and so we have to suport the police"! GUN BAN by numbers.

It's the same as how they use "charities" like the anti gun groups and others who make a lot of arse gas to curry public favour for an idea - if it gets the sheeple clamouring for it, then it goes ahead. If not they let it drop.

Simple really.

Some say ACPO are dangerous people.

Birch (2007) offers a traditionally accepted set of criteria (based on the ideas of Friedrich and Brzezinski) consisting of six standard features of totalitarianism:

• An official ideology

• Domination by a single party, usually led by a dictator

• A terroristic police force to eradicate dissent

• A monopoly on the means of communication

A monopoly on violence

• State control of economic life

(Birch, 2007, p. 154).
..the monopoly on violence aspect also relates to the means of being violent/resisting violence

Read the above bullet points with the SNP in mind.
They meet a few criteria. Coincidence?

We had a bit of trouble here over the years, and never had a similar initiative. They would be better concentrating on illegal firearms and not law abiding firearms owners. It doesn't make any sense, people could always report people that were misusing firearms.

The obsessiveness of being seen to be doing the right thing, as opposed to actually doing the right thing....

Its not a good image. Its the reason we called (mostly by other halves and female relations) we have the maturity of a 15 year old.

True, but thinking it through. I won't worry until I have to do.

To be honest guys, I would have thought .22 lr semi autos would be at a greater risk than the MARs, if, god forbid we see a Paris/Tunisia type attack in the UK.

Amazed that .22 WMR semis were allowed to remain on Sec1 after the 1988 amendments
